We are currently looking to expand and build our Sseko Ambassador program. Sseko Ambassadors are the face and voice of Sseko in their own communities. Sseko Ambassadors commit to organizing two events per semester. As a member of our team, your efforts will help further the following primary goals of Sseko Designs to:
* Provide fair-wage, dignified employment and professional training for young women in Uganda
* Contribute to the overall economic development of the East African region
* Help promote responsible consumerism by connecting people to their “stuff.”
* Communicate the necessity, responsibility and power of business to contribute to
positive social change
* Educate and advocate on behalf of young women around the globe. Communicate the importance and value of the education and empowerment of women, specifically in developing economies
* Use the success of Sseko Designs to help support and contribute to like-minded causes and organizations
As a part of the Sseko family, you have probably already demonstrated some or all of the following qualities that will make you successful in your Sseko adventures:
* An existing and growing interest, understanding, passion and desire to improve the lives of the poorest of the poor and commitment to ending the cycle of poverty
* A passion for empowering and educating women around the globe
* A basic understanding of community and development
* Excellent communication skills
* Creativity, self-motivation, the ability and desire to take initiative and problem solve
* An understanding of your community and the ability to create synergy opportunities between Sseko and other like-minded and related causes, organizations and groups
