The easiest way to promote is via social media.  Email your friends and family about Sseko! Post a link to our website on your website, blog, Facebook page etc. Wear your Ssekos and talk about them! We can send you some material that you can print off so you have a little something on-hand when people ask about your super cool sandals :) And trust me. They will.

The second level of involvement would be to host an event. We have people all over the country (actually, world) throwing "house parties" to sell Ssekos.  We also have people set up booths at events, concerts, fairs, family reunions…(Ok, just kidding about the family reunion part…but, any takers??)  These events can be an advocacy/educational event that you create from start to finish or something more "tag-teamed" with another organization or cause. You can pair up with a musician (or some other "main event": a documentary screening, a speaker etc) and have a joint event.

If you are involved with, or can think of organizations in  your community that you think would be receptive to our mission and vision, that is a great avenue for an event. There are lots of different things that draw various groups to what we are doing!

We have reserved some profits to go to various other organizations. Meaning, if you already work with an organization that could benefit from some extra revenue and visibility,  there is a chance that you could use a Sseko event as a fundraiser (a certain percentage of all Sseko sales for that particular event goes back to the group). We will take these on a case by case basis, but it can be a great way to double the effects of your efforts!

The third level of involvement would be to become a Sseko Ambassador. We are looking to continue to build our team of Sseko Ambassadors in cities across the country. Essentially, Sseko Ambassadors act as representatives and spokes people for Sseko.

We are also looking to build our staff. We are currently recruiting for a full time position in Uganda and will be looking to build our stateside team in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming internship opportunities.

Take a deep breath.

Any of that sound like something you could dig into? Let us know! Email me at liz@ssekodesigns.com to start the conversation. We'd love to have you on board.
